Summary
Qlosi (pilocarpine ophthalmic solution) 0.4% is a prescription eye drop used to treat age-related blurry near vision.
Qlosi reduces pupil size resulting in improved near focus ( similar principle to a pinhole camera).
“Place one drop of Qlosi in each eye. This can be repeated a second time after 2 to 3 hours for an effect that can last up to 8 hours. Qlosi can be administered on a daily basis, or as needed, up to twice each day.”
A dilated retina exam is required before prescribing since eye drops which decrease pupil size ( miotics) have had rare cases of retina detachments.
